The Bishop
Mueller Library
contributes to
the mission of
Briar Cliff
University by
providing
services and
resources that
help fulfill
institutional
outcomes. The
Library takes an
active role in
academic
endeavors by
supporting
curricular needs
and research,
offering access
to virtual and
physical
resources, and
teaching
information
literacy
components that
develop critical
thinking skills.
The primary
goals of the
Library are to
deliver quality
service and to
facilitate
life-long

History
Briar
Cliff's
Library is
named for J.
M. Mueller,
bishop of
the Sioux
City diocese
from
1948-1970,
and was
built in
1958. The
building was
fully
automated
and
renovated in
1993 and
offers a
complete
range of
resources
and
services.
