Library Resources
The library contains more than:

Students may check out books for 30 days and equipment for 1 day. One must have special permission to check out other library material.

Computer Lab - Library room 206
A computer lab with sixteen student workstations and a teacher station for projecting from a laptop computer is available in the library.  This room was developed to meet a need for students who require computer and printing access while on campus, outside of regular computer classroom time.  Library instruction sessions are scheduled in this room when faculty members request them. Watch for notices posted in the Library Lobby and the door of the Computer Lab for scheduled instruction sessions.

Reserves
Reserves are materials faculty want their students to peruse. This may include previous tests, books, music, videotapes, and/or journals. The normal check out period is 2 hours, in library use only, but some items may be checked out for 24 hours. Reserves are located at the circulation desk.

Borrowing Privileges
Briar Cliff University is an Iowa Open Access (OA) Library. This means that anyone from a member OA library may check out our library material and that we will return other OA materials to cooperating libraries.

BCU is also a member of the Sioux City Library Cooperative whereby Briar Cliff students and employees may use and check out material from Western Iowa Tech, Sioux City Public Library, Morningside College, local hospital libraries, or local high school libraries with their BCU identification card and current registration sticker.
