Library Liaison
Please contact your library liaison for suggestions on library acquisitions, instruction, and/or reference work.

Rachel Crowley - Liaison for Chemistry, Education, HPER, Math, Mass Communications, Nursing, Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work.

Veronica McAsey - Liaison for Art, Biology, Business, English, Environmental Science, History, Music, Theology, and Theater.

Acquisitions
Each department will be allocated a material budget which is used to purchase books or audiovisual media. Requests for materials must be submitted by library request cards or library sent yellow bibliographic cards. All requests must be signed by your department chair and given to your library liaison.

Bibliographic Instruction
A faculty librarian will be happy to assist you in providing bibliographic instruction sessions for your class. We also can provide you with assessment tools in information literacy. For more information, see the Association of College and Research Libraries Competency Standards for Higher Education

Reserves
Faculty may put materials in the library for their students to use. Materials must be owned by the faculty or the library. Copyright guidelines must be followed. Contact Diane Molstad for more information.

Database Access
Our online databases are accessible on campus to the public and off campus to the Briar Cliff University community with your BCU network account. Faculty also has extended service to several First Search databases. Contact your library liaison for passwords.

Borrowing Privileges
Faculty may borrow books for 30 days and special arrangements are made for the checking out of reference books, periodicals, equipment, and videotapes.

Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan is available for faculty and their immediate family. Contact Sr. Mary Jane Koenigs for more information.
