About the Library

The Bishop Mueller Library contributes to the mission of Briar Cliff University by providing services and resources that help fulfill institutional outcomes. The Library takes an active role in academic endeavors by supporting curricular needs and research, offering access to virtual and physical resources, and teaching information literacy components that develop critical thinking skills. The primary goals of the Library are to deliver quality service and to facilitate life-long learning.

The library staff at Bishop Mueller Library serves the BCU campus community in many ways. This commitment to the community takes us outside of the library for meetings and to assist classes with research skills instruction in classrooms. If you require research assistance and have a limited schedule, contact the library to make an appointment to ensure a librarian will be available to help you when you arrive. Library staff schedules are flexible and we are willing to schedule appointments outside of regular office hours.
