Education
Dr. Brame holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Brigham Young University and a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas, following which she practiced law for several years in Oklahoma. She holds both master's and doctorate degrees in sociology from Oklahoma State University.
About
Dr. Wendy Brame, Ph.D., J.D., joined the Briar Cliff faculty in the fall of 2010 and is currently an assistant professor of sociology. Dr. Brame chairs the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice and is the Pre-Law advisor for the university. She teaches courses in criminal justice, constitutional and criminal law, social stratification, social movements, theories of deviance, and introductory sociology.
Dr. Brame's research interests include the impact of social control on social movement success, inequalities in the criminal justice system, and the influence of religious involvement on social and political attitudes.
