About
I have had the privilege of being a member of the faculty for the past 36 years. Over that time period, I have taught around twenty different courses, both in mathematics and also in computer science during the early years of computing at Briar Cliff. In addition to teaching, advising students, and chairing the department, I have served on numerous university committees and for three terms as chairperson of the faculty. In the larger community, I have been involved at various times with the Children’s Miracle Network, Siouxland United Way, and the Siouxland Foodbank.
I have had the good fortune to be married to my wife Doreen for 45 years, and we have three daughters living in California, Colorado and Nebraska. During the school year, we spend our leisure time enjoying nature areas, dining out, watching old movies, listening to music, and surfing the web. In the summers, we enjoy exploring the US by car, hiking, tent camping, and strolling beaches. I have visited 48 states and been to 16 national parks.
