Dr. Prigge’s research and teaching interests include modern European, Soviet, East Asian and Social History. A Fulbright Scholar, Prigge has conducted archival work in Moscow and spent 10 months researching in Riga, Latvia. He has published several articles on the topic of Latvian national communists and has been invited to speak at the University of Tartu, Estonia and the University of Glasgow.

Dr. Prigge enjoys spending January term in Italy, offered through the LIBA 410 course. On the last trip traveled he traveled with more than 30 students.
