About
Dr. Eric Juhnke has a B.A. in History from Graceland College, an M.A. in History from the University of Northern Iowa, and a Ph. D. in American History from the University of Kansas.
Dr. Juhnke’s research and teaching interests include twentieth-century American History, African-American history, and the history of medicine. In 2002 the University Press of Kansas published Quacks and Crusaders, his study of three successful medical charlatans and their patients and followers.
A lover of international travel, Dr. Juhnke has organized multiple study abroad opportunities for Briar Cliff students in Europe. In 2009 he served a five month teaching Fulbright at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou, China.
