In addition to the full range of financial aid services and support provided by Briar Cliff University, the following are scholarships for which only nursing students are eligible.
Financial Assistance for BSN Students

United Airlines- Awarded annually to students from Sioux City pursuing an education which will qualify them in whole or in part, for a career in emergency rescue nursing, medical care, counseling, social work, ministry, or law enforcement. The recipients of this scholarship are chosen be a committee made up from the Nursing, Social Work, Theology, Criminal Justice, Biology, and Psychology Department Chairpersons.

Dr. Lee Jr. and Maxine Meis Nursing Endowed Nursing Scholarship-Awarded to nursing students with first preference to a Heelan High School graduate

Dorothy Trexler Meis Nursing Endowed Nursing Scholarship-Awarded to students pursuing a degree in nursing

Dr. Donald Rodawig Sr. Memorial Nursing Scholarship-Awarded to students pursuing a degree in nursing

Patricia Terhaar Endowed Scholarship-Awarded to students pursuing a health career. Second preference will be given to students pursing service-related ministries.

Sr. Catherine Weisensel Endowed Nursing Scholarship-Awarded to registered nurses resuming their education to achieve a BSN degree or to juniors or seniors in the Briar Cliff BSN program to enable them to continue with a BSN degree

Welte Family Endowed Scholarship-Awarded with first preference to a nursing student; second preference to a member of the women's basketball team; third preference to a Heelan graduate; fourth preference to a student majoring in Art or Accounting; fifth preference to a member of the women's golf team

Mercy Auxiliary Scholarship
