Master of Science in Nursing Student Learning Outcomes Upon graduation the MSN student will be able to accomplish the following: Sustain caring, wholistic relationships with multiple clients in an advanced practice or educator role through being, knowing, acting with compassion and respecting cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity in the global society. Harmonize the breadth and depth of knowledge from the humanities and natural and social sciences in the application of the art and science of advanced practice nursing to multiple clients and in nursing education. Exercise the art and science of nursing to determine interventions to promote the health of all clients in the advanced practice or education setting. Assimilate nursing theory into the art and science of nursing at the advanced practice level or in nursing education. Interface, using a variety of communication skills, with clients and inter/intraprofessionals to promote optimal health outcomes for all clients. Synthesize decision-making processes based on legal, ethical, political, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions while demonstrating leadership in an advanced practice and nurse educator roles and in the delivery of health care. Blend responsibility and accountability for the ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of one’s own nursing practice and the practice of others. Appraise the teaching/learning needs of self and of all clients in the provision of advanced practice nursing interventions. Orchestrate evidence from nursing research into the art and science of nursing.
