Sister
M. Arnold Staudt, O.S.F.
is Assistant Professor
of Music at Briar Cliff
University where she
teaches courses in music
history, music
appreciation, class
guitar, and applied
organ and piano.
Born and raised in north
central Iowa (Stacyville),
she is a member of the
Dubuque Franciscan
Sisters. She holds
a BM degree from Briar
Cliff College (now
University) and an MA
with an emphasis in
organ from the
University of Iowa.
She has done further
study at Loras College,
Dubuque, DePaul
University, Chicago and
the University of Iowa.
Her teachers include
Arthur Becker, Gerhard
Krapf, and Delbert
Disselhorst.
Sister Arnold’s teaching
career includes
elementary and high
school classes and she
has served as organist
for liturgies, organ
dedications, and
recitals on numerous
occasions.
