Objectives

Common formatting commands

To format individual words, phrases, etc., first select the text to be formatted. Then apply the appropriate command from the list below. All of the following are on the Home tab in the Font group.

Click on the down-arrow and select the desired color

Using the menu (when you need features that are not on the ribbons)

Select all of the characters whose appearance you want to change. Then click on the Home tab. Then in the lower right corner of the Font group, click on the "dialog box expander" (the little arrow in the lower right corner of the box):
