To "drag" text from its current location
and "drop" it in a new location:
Select the text you want to move (either by using
keyboard commands or dragging the mouse over it) and then click on it and
"drag" it to its new location.
The "find and replace" command lets
you make the same editing change in many places in your document. For example,
suppose that you finish writing a document and realize that you had spelled the
word "Kleen" as "Klein" all through the document. You can
have Word find all occurrences of the word "Klein" and replace it
with "Kleen". To invoke the "find and replace" command:
Ribbon:
·
Click on the Home tab.
·
In the Editing group, click on Find.

Keyboard:
·
Type: Ctrl+F (for Find) or Ctrl+H (for Find/Replace)
The following dialog box
will appear. Click on the Replace tab:

In the Find what text
box, enter the text that is to be replaced.

In the "Replace
with" text box, enter the new text.

To replace only the first
occurrence (after the current cursor position), click on the "Replace"
button. If you want to find subsequent occurrences of the word(s), click, on
the "Find Next" button.
To replace all
occurrences (after the current cursor position), click on the "Replace
All" button.
You can also search for
special characters by clicking on the "More" button, and then
clicking on the "Special" button. You can then search for
paragraph marks, tabs, etc. (see below).

You can also search for
(and replace) text that has special formatting characteristics. See below:
