Business
If you are interested
in entrepreneurship, you'll have the opportunity to manage your own
business in Briar Cliff's Small Business Lab. Here's how it works.
You will need to submit a viable business plan to the Director of
the Small Business Lab. If you need help writing your plan, you can
work with the business faculty. Or, you can take the Seminar in Entrepreneurship
offered each year through the Business Department. In this class you
will learn skills like how to search for business opportunities and
how to write business plans. Upon completion of the class, your business
plan may be selected to go into the Small Business Lab. You will then
be given seed money, office space and the opportunity to manage your
own business under the guidance of the department's faculty. You gain
crucial knowledge and experience while you discover the thrill of
running your very own business. And best of all, your business can
go with you when you graduate from Briar Cliff.
