Continuing Education Workshop: "Alzheimer's and the Family"
Friday, July 19
Stark Student Center
This workshop traces the course of Alzheimer’s disease and its effects on a family attempting to organize around changes in the patient. The workshop begins with an overview of how the disease process affects neurons and brain structures. The Alzheimer’s disease process is then broken down into four stages.
This event, the second workshop of a two-part series, is co-sponsored by Briar Cliff's Center for Justice, Center for Health Care Initiatives, Division of Social and Behavior Sciences, and the Departments of Social Work and Nursing.
