The Center for Prairie Studies presents paleoecologist Charles E. Umbanhowar, a professor of biology at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.
Umbanhowar will speak of our changing landscape since the Ice Age, particularly in areas like the Loess Hills of Northwest Iowa.
Ice-age fossils from the Sanford Museum will also be on display.
The lecture will be preceded by a 6 p.m. walk in the Sioux City Prairie, adjacent to the Briar Cliff University campus. A reception will follow the lecture.
