Resident Assistants
(RA's) are assigned to
live in each building
and their primary
responsibility is to
promote the development
of a community
atmosphere on their
floor and in their
building. RA's
work with their
communities to develop
camaraderie among the
residents by
establishing a community
agreement which outlines
standards everyone on
the floor has agreed to.
RA's coordinate
educational, service
oriented and social
activities for residents
to attend. RA's
also have the
responsibility of
maintaining a safe and
academic friendly
environment which
sometimes involves
confronting
inappropriate behavior.
In addition, RA's serve
as a resource to
students and are
available to answer
questions about the
halls, rooms, classes,
campus activities or
whatever else a student
may need.
