BCU Pianist to Perform Free Concerts
SIOUX CITY,
Iowa – Pianist Dr. Richard Steinbach, professor of music at
Briar Cliff University, will perform a solo concert at 12:30
p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, in the Meis Recital Hall on the
Briar Cliff campus.
Dr. Steinbach's performance will feature
music from around the world inspired by folk music and jazz. His
presentation will highlight new compositions for piano he
recently performed in a solo concert in Seoul, South Korea.
A repeat performance of this program will
take place at Western Iowa Tech Community College on 7:00 p.m.,
Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, in the Cargill Auditorium. Both
performances are free public events.
Dr. Steinbach has performed extensively as
both soloist and collaborative artist in concerts throughout the
U.S., Canada, South America, France, Italy, Great Britain, New
Zealand, Japan and China. He teaches applied piano, class piano
and courses in music theory, piano pedagogy and American music
at Briar Cliff University.
