BCU Nursing Professor Presents Research at National Conference
SIOUX CITY, Iowa- Barbara Condon, Ph.D.,
associate professor of nursing at Briar Cliff University, was
invited to present her research in the ‘’Health Promotion’’
symposium at The Midwest Nursing Research Conference, held
recently in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Condon’s paper titled “The Lived
Experience of Trying Something New” explores the experience of
trying something new from the perspective of persons utilizing
an outpatient care facility.
“Trying something new is an experience
often encountered in healthcare,” said Dr. Condon. “These
findings will help nurses better understand what patients are
going through when making decisions regarding their health.”
The Midwest Nursing Research Conference is
attended by nurse scholars who represent a variety of nursing
specialty areas. The annual conference focuses on promoting and
sharing research in nursing, while offering opportunities for
dialogue among nurses across the Midwest.
