BCU Theatre to Present Moliere’s “The Imaginary Invalid”

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Briar Cliff University’s Department of Theatre announces the production of “The Imaginary Invalid” with four performances, beginning Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, through Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010.

A work by the French neoclassical playwright Moliere, the satire exposes the comic adventures of hypochondriac Argan, who revels in his love for purgatives and fights with his sassy maid. In the play, Argan also survives the mayhem and hilarious machinations of a gold-digger wife, fraudulent doctors and wayward daughters.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 4–6, and at 2 p.m. on Nov. 6.  For ticket information, call the Box Office at 279-5542, which is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. 1–5.
