BCU Professor Publishes Article in International Nursing Journal

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Barbara Condon, Ph.D., RN, associate professor of nursing at Briar Cliff University, had her article, “A Story of Family,” published in the July 2010 issue of Nursing Science Quarterly, an international journal of nursing theory, research and practice.

Dr. Condon’s article centers on the personal account of M’Barek Touil, a resident of Dakota City, Neb., who struggled to survive during 18 years of political imprisonment in Morocco in the 1970s and 1980s. In her article, Dr. Condon relates Touil’s story of imprisonment to nursing theory and provides a new understanding of family and community.
