BCU to Host Nursing Research Seminar
SIOUX CITY, Iowa –Briar Cliff
University will host The Sister Patricia Miller Nursing Research
in Action Seminar, “The Seeds for Change,” beginning with
registration at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, on the Briar Cliff
campus.
Keynote speaker will be Victoria
L. S. Britson, Ph.D., ARNP-BC, CNE, associate professor of
nursing at BCU. Dr. Britson will present her research titled “The
Lived Experience of Taking a Risk for Persons Who
Have Experienced Natural Disaster.” Also presenting at the event
will be Teresa Kelley, MSN, RN, instructor of nursing at Briar
Cliff, who will address “Socio-Economic Status & Body Mass Index
in Children.”
The nursing seminar is
co-sponsored by the Briar Cliff University Department of Nursing
and Theta Gamma Chapter-at-Large of Sigma Theta Tau
International. The Nurses’ Week recognition at the event
is sponsored by Iowa Nurses Association Northwest Region #1.
