BCU Library Director Receives Conference Scholarship

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Deb Robertson, director of the Bishop Mueller Library at Briar Cliff University, was awarded the Iowa Library Association's chapter of College and Research Libraries Scholarship to attend the association’s spring conference in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The focus of the conference, titled “The Library is Open: Open Minds, Open Doors, Open Access,” was library access in today’s high-tech world. Robertson, who came to Briar Cliff from Virginia Highlands Community College, Abingdon, Va.,  last August, was selected among other new academic librarians at Iowa colleges and universities, who have been members of the association for less than three years and have never attended the state meeting. For more information, visit on Iowa Library Association of College and Research Libraries.

Enrollment at Briar Cliff University is over 1,100 students from 28 states. Students are educated in the Franciscan tradition of excellence in the liberal arts and career preparation in an environment of care, compassion and openness to all. For more information, please visit www.briarcliff.edu.
