BCU Theatre Announces Production of “Copenhagen”

SIOUX CITY, IA – Briar Cliff University’s Department of Theatre announces the production “Copenhagen” by Michael Frayn with four performances, beginning Thursday, April 29, through Saturday, May 1.

‘Copenhagen’ is a compelling play that depicts the demise of the friendship between the eminent physicists Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg and their roles in the development of the nuclear bomb,” said Richard Poole, MFA, chairperson and professor of theatre and speech communication at Briar Cliff. “The play discusses the ethics of scientific work and responsibility to ourselves, our friends, our country and humanity in general.”

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1 with a 2 p.m. matinee on May 1. For ticket information, call the Briar Cliff Theatre Box Office at 279-5542.
