Briar Cliff University Holds Easter Egg Hunt
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Briar Cliff
University recently held an Easter Egg Hunt on campus for
Crescent Park Elementary School students and the children and
grandchildren of Briar Cliff employees.
A total of 27 children participated in
the event, which was sponsored by BCCares, a component of Briar
Cliff University’s Campus Ministry.
In addition to searching for eggs,
children played “Pin the Tail on the Bunny,” bean bag toss and
ping pong ball toss, had their faces painted and made Easter
baskets and bunny ears.
“All the time and effort to plan and
set up this event was rewarded with the children’s excitement
and smiles,” said BCCares member Kayla Rempe, a junior social
work major from Superior, Neb.
BCCares networks with a wide variety of
local schools, social services agencies, health care centers and
businesses to provide Briar Cliff students many volunteer
opportunities on and off campus. Through BCCares, students
develop competencies in leadership and service and learn to
apply these competencies to real-life situations.
Enrollment at Briar
Cliff University is over 1,100 students from 28 states. Students
are educated in the Franciscan tradition of excellence in the
liberal arts and career preparation in an environment of care,
