BCU’s Announces Winners of 5th Annual SnackWise Competition
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Briar Cliff
University has announced winners of the 5th Annual
SnackWise Marketing Plan Competition.
Sioux City North High School took
first-place with its “Cinna Shazam,” which sold 86 bags at a
$125.56 profit. Ponca Public High School earned second place
with its “Crazy Good Corn” creation, which had 84 sales at a
$51.24 profit. Sioux City Bishop Heelen High School won third
place with “Poppin’ Monkey Cones,” which sold 61 bags at a
$38.43 profit.
The competition was co-sponsored by
Briar Cliff Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) and JOLLY TIME
Pop Corn. Team finalists sold their products on Nov. 8 at the
Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City. Winners were based on each
team’s profits during the two-hour selling period.
The first-place team received a $100
cash prize, a JOLLY TIME prize pack for each participant and a
personalized tour of the JOLLY TIME Pop Corn facilities in Sioux
City. Second-place and third-place teams received $50 cash
prizes and JOLLY TIME prize packs. The teams will keep their
sales profits.
Briar Cliff University is a Catholic
