BCU to Host Discussion on Health Care Reform in America

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The public is invited to a “Discussion on Health Care Reform in America” at Briar Cliff University from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, in the Saint Francis Center in the Stark Student Center on campus. 

Participating in the panel discussion will be John Goebel, M.D., emergency room physician and president of the Woodbury Medical Society; Paul Olson, Ph.D., assistant professor of sociology at Briar Cliff University; Debi Durham, president of the Sioux City Chamber of Commerce; Tom Chapman, executive director of the Iowa Catholic Conference; and Kent Ferrari, M.D., orthopedic surgeon at CNOS. Serving as moderator for the event will be Mitch Pugh, editor of The Sioux City Journal.

Co-sponsored by the Woodbury Medical Society and BCU SIFE, the purpose of this free event is to give the public an opportunity to direct their health care reform questions to the panelists in order to better understand the current health care debate in the U.S. Immediately following the event the public is invited to a reception with the panelists. Physicians from throughout Siouxland also will be on hand to take questions.
