BCU Announces $20,000 in
Scholarships
for Continuing Ed Students

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Briar Cliff University
will be awarding a total of $20,000 in Continuing Education
scholarships for eligible new students who will be enrolling for
the first time at BCU during the fall 2009 term.
As a part of Briar Cliff’s Continuing
Education Scholarship Program, one $10,000 scholarship will be
awarded to an eligible Western Iowa Tech Community College
(WITCC) graduate transferring to the University and ten $1,000
scholarships will be awarded to eligible Continuing Education
students who will be enrolling for the first time at BCU.
“Adult learners in Siouxland are experiencing
academic success, and BCU recognizes those achievements with
this scholarship program,” said Judith Scherer-Connealy,
executive director of continuing and professional studies. “We
work closely with every individual student to determine his or
her best option for paying for college.”
All Continuing Education Scholarship
applicants must be new students in fall of 2009, registering
full-time in daytime programs. Additionally, Briar Cliff offers
awards for qualified transfer students. Academic scholarships
are based on the student’s cumulative grade point average and
require full-time registration in daytime classes.
