BCU Announces Winners of 4th Annual SnackWise Competition
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Winners of Briar
Cliff University’s 4th Annual SnackWise Marketing
Plan Competition were: First Place North High School’s “Star
Munch” with 157 sales for a profit of $136.59; Second Place
LeMars Gehlen with 70 items sold for a profit of $53.90 on their
product “Pop N’ Pretzels”; and Third Place Worthington (Minn.)
High School with “Political Popcorn,” which sold 35 bags at a
profit of $19.95.
The competition was sponsored by Briar
Cliff and JOLLY TIME Pop Corn. Team finalists had their products
for sale from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Southern Hills Mall
in Sioux City. First-, Second- and Third-Place winners were
based on each team’s profits during the two-hour selling period.
The First-Place team received a $100 cash
prize, JOLLY TIME prize pack and a personalized tour of the
JOLLY TIME Pop Corn facilities in Sioux City. Second-Place
and Third-Place teams received $50 cash prizes and JOLLY TIME
prize packs. The teams will keep the profits earned from their
sales./span>
