Briar Cliff University to Host YSN CEO Jennifer Kushell

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Briar Cliff University will host Jennifer Kushell, CEO of Your Success Network (YSN.com), at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008 in the St. Francis Center on campus.

Kushell, this year’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence, will present “Secrets of the Young and Successful.” Her visit to BCU is sponsored by the university’s Eldon and Regina Roth Center for Entrepreneurship.

For more than a decade, Kushell has inspired young people to achieve their dreams. At 19, she co-founded the Young Entrepreneurs Network, an organization of thousands of young and successful entrepreneurs from more than 75 countries. In 2006, Kushell led her company in launching YSN.com, a new online universe for emerging adults to explore their passions, build a professional identity and find opportunities worldwide.

She has co-authored the New York Times Best Seller, Secrets of the Young & Successful™ (Simon & Schuster, 2003), and wrote The Young Entrepreneur's Edge (Random House, 1997) and Solo Para Emprendedores (Grupo Norma, 2000).

A reception will follow the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.

BCU’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program, a function of the university’s Eldon and Regina Roth Center for Entrepreneurship, brings noted entrepreneurs to campus.  Previous Entrepreneurs-in-Residence include Wally Amos, founder of Famous Amos Cookies; Karen Boes Oman, founder and former CEO of Certes Financial Pros in Minneapolis; and Chesca Collorado-Mansfeld, former vice-president at eToys.
