BCU Ranks Among 2009 America’s Best Colleges in Midwest
SIOUX CITY, Iowa –Briar Cliff University is
ranked among the 2009 America’s Best Midwestern Comprehensive
Colleges, according to the 2009 edition of “America’s Best
Colleges” by U.S. News &
World Report. Briar Cliff also received this distinction in
2006 and 2008.

liberal arts education for our students and the national
recognition of that commitment,” said Beverly Wharton,
president, Briar Cliff University.
The annual
U.S. News & World Report
rankings represent the most comprehensive look at how schools
stack up based on a set of widely accepted indicators of
excellence. The overall rankings help students and families
evaluate and compare data compiled from hundreds of accredited
four-year colleges.
“This designation affirms our commitment to
providing a challenging academic environment in which students
can excel,” noted Sharisue Wilcoxon, vice president, Enrollment
Management at Briar Cliff.
