SIOUX CITY, Iowa –
Briar Cliff University's Students in Free Enterprise
(SIFE) took First Runner-up Honors at the National SIFE
Competition in Chicago early this month.
Regional champions for the fifth consecutive
year, the BCU SIFE team earned national recognition based on
their current projects, which include a training video to be
used by SIFE teams worldwide, leadership camp for middle school
students, and scholarship program for Tanzanian students, among
others.
“This award places Briar Cliff among the Top
40 SIFE teams nationally out of more than 1,500 teams,” said
Marilyn Eastman, instructor of business administration and SIFE
advisor. “We came back from the competition with exciting ideas
for next year and a commitment to excellence in the future.”
