Briar Cliff honors
students can be found
almost everywhere on
campus. Honors
students play a number
of sports, are in BCU
choirs and the jazz
band, and several have
had prominent roles in
recent productions at
the BCU theatre.
Additionally, honors
students work as RAs in
residence life, serve as
PALS on the orientation
staff, are leaders in
the Student Government
Association, and
participate in campus
ministry activities and
a number of campus clubs
and organizations.
Academically, BCU
honors students are in a
variety of academic
departments including
biology, business
administration,
chemistry, criminal
justice, education,
English, mass
communications, nursing,
political science,
psychology, theatre, and
writing. Our students
aspire to be doctors,
nurses, lawyers,
teachers, musicians,
psychologists, graphic
artists, and enter a
variety of other
careers. The program is
intentionally designed
to allow students with
any major to be active
members.
As you can see,
our honor students are
very active and play
important roles in our
campus community.
They are students who
love to be challenged
both inside and outside
of the classroom and
work to make the Briar
Cliff experience better
for everyone.
