The Honors Program organizes a number of social activities that allow honors students to get together outside of the classroom and socialize with each other and with Briar Cliff faculty.  In recent years the program has hosted game nights, bowling parties, and a weekend trip to Kansas City to visit the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.  During the 2008-2009 academic year, the program has had several social activities including a barbeque to start the year at Dr. Olson’s home, seeing Monty Python’s Spamalot at the Orpheum Theatre, and hosting “The World Series of Popular Culture: Briar Cliff Edition.”  The social activities are a fun way to build community and get to know each other better outside of class.
