  • Clinical refers to the portion of a theory course used to refine and enhance the skills and theory presented in class.  1 credit hour = 40 contact hours (4 contact hours/week)

  • Practicum refers to a stand alone course emphasizing the application and refinement of therapies and skills.  1 credit hour = 100 contact hours (10 contact hours/week)

  • One contact hour = 60 minutes

  • One clock hour of class time (70 minutes) = 1 credit hour
