Biology Minor

The minor in biology is designed to develop students’ comprehension of the scientific method and the application of this method to investigations in biology. This minor will provide valuable skills in a variety of fields including agriculture, medicine, nutrition, health care, physical therapy and teaching.

Douglas Wheelock

Dr. Wheelock was born and raised in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1969. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Briar Cliff in 1973. He opened his own dental clinic in 1977.

Requirements

BIOL 151 - General Biology I
BIOL 152 - General Biology II

The biology minor requires 23 credit hours with a BIOL prefix, discounting BIOL 102, which does not count toward the minor.
